What we keep, and why
Your name, address, email and orders, because an order cannot be prepared, sent or refunded without them. Your messages, so a conversation can be picked up where it stopped.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is passed on beyond what a delivery or a payment needs.
How long
Orders and invoices, as accounting law requires: 10 years. An account you close, and everything not tied to an order, goes with it.
- Account with no sign-in, order or message, deleted after a warning email: 3 years.
- Warning period before an inactive account is deleted: 30 days.
- Basket with no activity, then emptied: 6 months.
- Conversations with us, deleted after the last message: 3 years.
- Custom request that led to no creation, deleted with its photos: 1 year.
- Order cancelled before payment and never invoiced, deleted after its last event: 1 year.
- Proof of the choice of a visitor without an account (it holds no name), kept after the choice expires: 1 year.
- Messages that failed to send, which carry an email address: 7 days.
- Count of pages read and of visits through a printed code, at most: 25 months.
Keeping the site working
When something goes wrong on the site, in the page or in your browser, the error is written down so that it can be found and fixed. The purpose is the security and proper operation of the site, which is our legitimate interest.
What is written down: the error itself, the name of the page it happened on (never its address), the date, the language, the family of browser and system (for instance Firefox on Windows) and, if you were signed in, the number of your account. Never what you typed, a password, a payment detail or an IP address.
These examples are kept thirty days. The error itself, which carries nothing about you, is kept until it is fixed and ninety days after. The technical log files of the server are kept fourteen days.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to its use. Write to us and we answer within a month.
To be completed: SHOP_EMAIL - and if our answer does not satisfy you, the CNIL takes complaints at cnil.fr.
Cookies
Only what the site needs to work: the one that keeps you signed in, the one that holds your basket and the one that remembers your choices about the cookies below. No advertising cookie, no third-party tracker, and the images are served from this site alone.
If you came here through a code printed on a poster or on a card, two more cookies exist, but only if you agree to them: one remembers which code brought you, for thirty days, the other which codes this browser has already followed, for thirteen months, so that coming back is not counted as a second person. Without your agreement neither is set, and the visit is still counted, with nobody attached. Your agreement counts for six months. What the count keeps is the code and the date, never your address, your browser or your name.
We also count which pages of the shop get read and for how long, against a token drawn at random for each visit. The time counted is time you were really there: the page stops its own clock after a minute without a move, and ten minutes without one is read as you having left. It is how we find out where the shop is awkward to use, a checkout that takes too long above all.
If you have an account and are signed in, that reading is attached to it only if you agree, pages read earlier in the same visit included. Without your agreement the pages are counted with nobody attached. What was attached is yours to have detached or deleted: write to us and it goes, account and reading alike.
For the same reason we note, during that visit alone, which pages of this shop were looked at and what went into a basket. Those lines carry the code and nothing that says who you are, so they can be counted but never put back together into somebody's afternoon. If you agreed to the code, and an account is opened or an order placed within the month that follows, the code is kept on it, which is how a workshop knows that a poster at the market is worth putting up again. Without your agreement it is kept on nothing. Say the word and we take it off yours.
